Just a very quick one, today folks –

Adidias/TaylorMade bring you the chance to win a Sergio Garcia-inspired staff-bag in honour of the Spaniard’s recent run of hot form.

Following up his victory @ Wyndham last week he looked like he was going for back-to-back victories, but failed at the last hurdle at Gleneagles, yesterday allowing home-soil golfer Paul Lawrie to take the Johnnie Walker.

Still, with RoMac’s domination of the US PGA, Garcia last week on US soil and Lawrie yesterday in Scotland (Paul, not Peter, the Irish fella), it would be a brave fellow indeed to back against Europe retainng the Ryder Cup in Medinah later this year.

That’s enough waxing lyrical about the state of European golf – you want to know about this competition, right?

The question is relative to the bumph, I swear:

By how many strokes did Garcia win the Wyndham @ Greensboro, North Carolina, last week?

Was it: one, TWO or three?

I know – it’s just TWO easy, like starting up a TWO-stroke engine scooter on a downhill run. Got it?

Okay, good! Here’s the t & c stuff:

Closing date for entries is 5.00pm on the 31st August 2012.

TWO be in with a chance of winning this prize, they’re going to need your first and last name and email address and the answer TWO the question.

Not TWO tasking, is it?

Today’s Golfer – Find all the latest golf news, gear news and tour news and events. The best golfing news and golf events, all here on one site.

Of course, when you’re starting out in the ezine game yourself, you’ve got to have a couple of inspirational magazines to look up to.

Today’s Golfer, hosting this competition, Golf Magic and Great Golf Magazine are three online golf magazines that I’ll not only look into, but likewise look up to on the start of this fantastic journey.

The competition to win the chance to take on Joe Miller, the 2010 long drive champion on the famous 10th at The Belfry‘s world-famous Brabazon golf course, is simplicity in itself.  Well, if you’ve got a Twitter account.

You can find Today’s Golfer on Twitter: (funnily enough); there, you’ll see they’re tweeting this competition into the public stream, visible to anyone following them.

All you have to do is re-tweet their tweet and add the hash-tag: #tglongdrive onto their original tweet (blimey – all this tweeting you’d think we were in an aviary – where’s Sylvester when you need him?) and that’s it – you’re in with the chance, along with three others, to take on both Miller & the mighty Brabazon 10th all in one fell swoop!

I’m going to pop this little article straight into this week’s edition of UK Golf, so if you miss this bookmark, simply subscribe to the RSS there and you’ll never miss an article again!

That’s it – TTFN,

Thet Watson. xxx

p.s. – not got a Twitter account and/or could do with some followers sharpish?

Why not check out Tweet Adder?  If you’re looking to get your message across to millions and you’re using the Twitter platform as a chosen marketing tool but often feel as if you’re talking to yourself, there are few better ways to build an audience quickly than with this application.  Start getting feedback instead of a wall of silence – you can’t quite beat the feeling of interaction!

How many Majors has Rory won? Win a signed t-shirt.

Rory, erm, posing

To celebrate the start of the US PGA Championship, we’ve teamed up with EA Triple A to provide TWO LUCKY SPORTSVIBE READERS the chance to win an Oakley golf polo shirt signed by Rory McIlroy.

The task is simple; answer this ONE question: how many Major titles has Rory McIlroy won, prior to the US PGA Championship that he looks certain to qualify for the weekend sessions for after day two?

ONE quick question: what has happened to Luke Donald? The world number ONE looks unlikely to make the cut finishing +6 for the first two days, with the cut line projected at +4.

On the same note, Paul Lawrie and Justin Rose will only just get through if that’s the case as they have just about made the 148, +4 mark at the half way point. Lee Westwood, half way round his second punt, is also on the cut line, 9 shots off Carl Petterson, similarly half way through round two, but beginning his second day on the back nine.

Anyhoo, that’s a brief resume of UK Golf in the States as it stands. Back to this competition being hosted by

Tiger’s PGA Tour 13, on both Xbox 360 and PS3, is one of EA Sports best-selling games; featuring on the cover is the man who would be king, Rory McIlroy.
